At ADL Health & Safety, we’re committed to raising fire safety standards and supporting organisations in meeting their legal responsibilities with confidence. As part of that commitment, we’re proud to introduce two new accredited FireQual courses designed to develop competence, strengthen understanding and support those responsible for fire safety across a wide range of premises.
These programmes provide delegates with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to carry out suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments, a legal requirement under UK fire safety legislation.
FireQual Level 3 Foundation Fire Risk Assessment Course
Fire risk assessment sits at the heart of UK fire safety law. Employers and anyone with control of premises must take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of fire and ensure people can escape safely in an emergency. To achieve this, fire safety legislation requires that suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments are completed by competent individuals.
Our FireQual Level 3 Foundation Fire Risk Assessment Course has been developed to give delegates the essential knowledge and practical grounding needed to begin carrying out fire risk assessments in low‑risk premises.
This course covers:
- The principles of fire safety legislation
- Understanding fire hazards and risks
- How to conduct a structured fire risk assessment
- Practical application in real‑world scenarios
It’s the ideal starting point for those new to fire risk assessment or those looking to formalise their existing experience with an accredited qualification.
Intermediate Fire Risk Assessment to BS 8674:2025 – RQF Level 4 Certificate
For those responsible for assessing moderate‑risk buildings, competence is crucial. ADL Health & Safety is pleased to offer the new Intermediate Fire Risk Assessment to BS 8674:2025 course, a comprehensive, 5‑day programme designed to build deeper knowledge, stronger analytical skills and greater confidence in undertaking more complex fire risk assessments.
This qualification is aligned with BS 8674:2025 – Built environment: Framework for competence of individual fire risk assessors – Code of practice, ensuring delegates receive training that reflects the latest industry standards and expectations.
Delegates will learn:
- How to apply BS 8674:2025 in practice
- How to assess fire risks in moderate‑risk premises
- How to evaluate fire safety measures and mitigation strategies
- How to document and justify decisions in line with competency frameworks
This course is ideal for those progressing in their fire safety career or expanding their responsibilities within their organisation.
